Les Creature Comforts was opened by Stephanie and her late husband Bob in 2008. Both having worked extensively with all types of domestic and farm animals running a boarding kennels and cattery seemed like a natural progression.
Their goal was that Les Creature Comforts would meet UK standards and to achieve this they commissioned the project of design and build to Sherlocks of Chichester. The company specializes in this area working for the Military and Police Services providing housing for working dogs as well as bespoke projects for private individuals. Stephanie’s experience of working in UK approved establishments enabled them to be confident that all standards of care, cleanliness and hygiene met with the highest of levels.
Today Stephanie strives to meet the needs of all her guests without compromise. With just 7 kennels and 10 cat chalets it means she is able to spend quality time with each individual getting to know them.
As well as caring for her guests she also looks after her large family of rescue and rehomed animals. The family include 2 Catalan Sheepdogs ‘Nora Bone’ rehomed from a rescue in the UK and ‘Ronnie Barker’ rehomed from a rescue in Turkey. She also has Millie the Minx, a Sphynx cat bred in Latvia and then rehomed to them at 7 months when the UK owners lost interest, Oddjob rehomed to her by a client, and Dottie Dot Dash a British Blue she had from a kitten.
Stephanie is passionate about horses and to this end she has rehomed ex racehorse Petrus and a rescue Shetland pony ZeeZee, who was found in appalling circumstances. Life is pretty busy at Les Creature Comforts.
