Les Creature Comforts was opened by Stephanie and her late husband Bob Lack in December 2008. They had both worked extensively with all manner of domestic and farm animals when they lived in the UK so moving to France to open a Kennels and Cattery seemed like a natural progression for them.
Their goal was to build and run an establishment that would meet UK standards and to achieve this they commissioned the project of design and build to Sherlocks of Chichester. The company specializes in this area working for both the Military and Police Services providing housing for their working dogs as well as building bespoke projects for private individuals. Stephanie’s experience of working in UK approved kennels also enabled them to ensure that all standards of care, cleanliness and hygiene meet with the highest levels.
Les Creatures Comforts is exclusive with 7 kennels and 10 chalets for cats so Stephanie is easily able to meet the individual needs of all guests without compromise. Today she is helped by David who divides his time between looking after his teenage daughters and supporting the day to day running of the business. He carries out all the routine maintenance for the kennels and cattery as well as supervising exercise and walks for the dogs. He also turns his hand to helping Stephanie look after her 2 rescued ponies and her re-homed ex steeplechaser.
Everything at Les Creature Comforts focuses on animal welfare; be it sun shades in the summer, extra heating in the winter or just simply a rub down after the rain.
